Sources Of LDL Cholesterol

Written by cholesterolfacts.org

LDL Cholesterol comes from two different sources; the type of body you have and the food that you eat.

Some people produce high levels of cholesterol naturally no matter how healthy they try to eat. They have inherited it from their parents or grandparents and it takes special medicines usually to help them keep it down. Usually people like this also deal with high blood pressure which can often worsen their problem.

Other people who deal with LDL cholesterol have brought it upon themselves because of the diet that they have. Those who eat foods that are high in saturated fat, dietary cholesterol, and trans fat will increase the amount of cholesterol that their body produces.

Some of the foods that can cause high levels of cholesterol are poultry, fish, egg, butter, cheese and whole milk. Fruits, vegetables, and cereals do not have any cholesterol and should be incorporated to a person's diet in order to balance out the foods that contain cholesterol.
